Teeth rotting…

Dream: Have to meet a lady in a community place to see my children, teeth rotting in front.

DreamsMaster: A dream about teeth rotting in front could be a metaphor for the expression “to lose face”, implying the loss of respect from others. I don’t know you or your life situation, but if this were my dream, it would mean that I feel have done something irresponsible in regards to my role as a parent, and I am feeling exposed and ashamed about it. If this interpretation fits for you, I’d take it a step further and suggest that the takeaway message is to reverse the tide and find a way to “save face” – do the needful to regain your dignity, and become the person your children would be honored to have as a parent.

Brushing teeth…

Dream: I was dreaming of brushing my teeth.

DreamsMaster: This is a great dream to explore both literally and symbolically.

On a literal level, dreaming of brushing teeth could mean you need to pay more attention to your oral hygiene. For example, maybe you’ve recently experienced a toothache, or perhaps you’ve noticed people subtly moving further away from you when you speak (i.e., bad breath).

If nothing fits at the literal level, next take a look at some metaphors and symbols associated with teeth. For example:

– Teeth in a dream often symbolize power or strength. In this context, to brush them could represent the desire to enhance these qualities.

– Teeth may also represent our self-image, or our presentation to the outer world. Were you brushing in front of a mirror? In this context, brushing your teeth could represent a need to “brush up on” your image in a business or personal relationship.

The feeling you had in the dream as you brushed as well as what was on your mind the night of the dream will provide additional clues to the dream’s meaning.

Rat under the bed…

Dream: I was in this old dirty house and a rat ran under the bed.

DreamsMaster: This dream is quite possibly a warning that your health and well-being may be at risk.

There are two primary symbols: a house and a rat.

Symbolically, a house in a dream often represents one’s self. In your dream, this house is “old” and “dirty”.

A rat often represents disease. Depending on your personal association to a rat, it may also represent someone not to be trusted.

Perhaps you’re not practicing good self-care by over-indulging in food, drugs or alcohol. If so, the dream may be warning you to use better judgment before your world starts crumbling around and within you.

If you feel you are indeed practicing good self-care, then the dream could be warning you of some other possible threat to your general well-being. It could be in the form of a disease lurking within your system, and if you’ve been experiencing physical symptoms, I encourage you to consult a doctor. The threat could also be coming from a person in your life who is unhealthy for you to be around.

Consider these options I’ve presented and contemplate other possibilities that come to mind as you read this. Only the dreamer can determine the true meaning of a dream, but my gut tells me this is a dream requiring some action on your part in order to steer clear of danger.
